Executive Short courses in project and people management

CERAH’s Executive Short Courses are one-week, intensive, and focus on specific issues relevant to humanitarian practitioners. These highly interactive courses allow participants to analyze a range of issues of high importance to contemporary humanitarianism. They are led by senior academics and experienced humanitarian professionals, who guide students to develop their analytic skills and acquire practical tools.

Managing Staff in Humanitarian Crises

Recent developments have pushed humanitarian actors to adapt their policies, revising measures to be taken to expose their staff to risks and adopt integrative decision-making processes. Participants will identify best practices that are relevant to their own management style, context and organisation.


Protection in Humanitarian Action

This executive short course aims at analyzing the activities undertaken by humanitarian actors and  the international community to protect the fundamental rights of specific categories of vulnerable communities, in accordance with human rights law, international humanitarian law and refugee law.


Livelihood and Cash Transfer Interventions in Humanitarian Action

This executive course is a full time training, which focuses on the assessment, design and implementation of effective livelihoods-related interventions for humanitarian responses, using specific tools and methods including Cash Transfer Programming and Rapid Market Assessment. 


Humanitarian Project Cycle Management

This executive short course is a full-time training which focuses on the design of projects that take into account the specificity of humanitarian contexts.
