Job Opening: Full or Associate Professor In Humanitarian Public Health
The successful candidate will be expected to teach in areas related to Public Health and Humanitarian Action at the pregraduate and postgraduate level, including supervision of Master’s and PhD theses. Expertise in relevant fields of public health and humanitarian action is required. S/he should have demonstrated the ability to collaborate collegially with non-academic partners and across disciplines, and will be expected to strengthen ties with humanitarian and international organizations.
S/he will be expected to be competitive for external research funding.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of the Centre d’Enseignement et de Recherche en Action Humanitaire (CERAH), including by taking on management responsibilities as needed.
Medical (MD) or equivalent degree and/or Doctorate in Global/Public Health or relevant area an asset
Extensive knowledge of Humanitarian Action
Capacity to collaborate in large networks
Interdisciplinary work experience in global/public health
Previous teaching and independent research experience
Publications in leading international journals
Good knowledge of French
STARTING DATE: 1st October 2019 or according to agreement.
